2019 University of Scouting

The University of Scouting (UoS) is a training for adult leaders will offer fun, learning, and fellowship for all who attend. It is the only time during the year where you can find, all in one place, the widest variety of training opportunities in all program areas. Whether you are new to the Boy Scouts or a veteran, the University will provide interesting courses in Cub Scouting, Scouting and Venturing and what we call General Scouting Studies. Participants will enhance their Scouting & leadership skills to create a better Scouting experience for their youth. The focus is on adult training.


Avid Scouter and Guinness World Record Holder
First person to Climb the Seven Summits and Sail the Seven Seas

Martin Frey, is a successful business leader, tech investor, and an accomplished mountaineer and sailor. In April 2016, he set a Guinness World Record when he became the only person to successfully climb the world’s Seven Summits and sail the Seven Seas.


Saturday February 23, 2019:

  • 6:30am - Breakfast (optional Fundraiser hosted by the Silver Beavers to help provide scholarships to youth and adults)
  • 7:00am - Registration opens
  • 8:00am - Opening Ceremony & Keynote Speaker
  • 9:00am - Classes start (7 total class periods with two lunch periods to choose from)
  • 9:00am - Youth College Opening Ceremony
  • 10:00am - Youth College Classes (10am-4pm, lunch included DO NOT PURCHASE LUNCH SEPARATELY)
  • 11am or 12pm - LUNCH - Purchasing a lunch does not automatically reserve a space for you in the Blue and Gold Lunch breakout in either Stake Center gym. You must sign up for that AS A CLASS if you would like to attend. 
  • 4:00pm - End / Cleanup

During the event

  • 9:30am - 4pm - Midway
  • 4:05pm - Grand Prize Giveaways


  • Early-bird Registration $10: Through Feb 10, 2019. 
    Regular registration $15: Feb 11th - February 18, 2019 at 11:55pm. EXTENDED TO TUES the 19th AT 11:55 PM
    Walk-in registration will be $20 at the door.
  • Walk-ins are allowed but the event patch, breakfast, and purchasing a lunch will not be guaranteed. 
  • Register online below or fill out the application in the catalog and bring/mail it to the council office.
  • AVOID WAITING IN LINE:  Bring your receipt and schedule when you Check-in.
  • PRIORITY CHECK-IN: Priority Check-in is given on event day to those who supported the UoS Fundraising Breakfast! :-)

Before 2/11/2019 a discount of $5.00 will apply to all Participant (Adults and Den Chiefs) Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
Event fees are final except in a limited number of circumstances where a partial refund may be granted. You may transfer your registration to another Scout leader, but he/she must use your class schedule or make changes to that schedule by February 18, 2019.
