M.O.A.B Base Camp (MBC)


Formerly Entrada HAB, M.O.A.B ("Mother of Adventure Bases") offers sheer awesomeness in Utah's red rock country. Located in Crips Hole near Gemini Bridges, MBC is a high adventure base gem surrounded by extraordinary red rock geological formations, awesome desert southwest vistas, and world-famous destinations: Moab, the Colorado and Green Rivers and three state and national parks: Dead Horse Point, Arches, and Canyonlands.


Why not?! Moab is a world-class outdoor mecca. MBC offers mountain biking, canyoneering, rafting, and climbing and rappelling.


The emphasis at MBC is programmatic activities for male and female youth and their leaders. MBC follows BSA National High-Adventure age guidelines which state: A youth must be 14 years of age or 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade by date of participation.


All registrations require a down payment of 25% of the total registration. NON-REFUNDABLE

Program Activities (one per person per day with the exception of Canyonneering Night Experience, which may be done on the same day as any other activity.):

  • Mountain Biking "Gemini Loop" (for average riders): $65
  • Mountain Biking "Over the Bars" (for experienced riders only): $80
  • Climbing and Rappelling: $65
  • Canyoneering Day Experience: $80
  • Canyoneering Night Experience: $80
  • River Rafting: $75

Optional Costs:

  • Additional camping nights: $7 per person per night
  • Camp-provided meals: $7 per person per meal
  • All you can shoot and throw (during open program): $5 per person
  • Those desiring to tent camp only ($10 per person per night) should contact help@utahscouts.org or ryan.bertram@scouting.org. They should NOT register online



  • BSA medical form (parts A, B and C) for all youth and adults
  • Liability release for all participating in the river rafting and canyoneering activities (located in the leader guide)
  • Registration receipt showing you've paid in full


  • Check-in begins each evening at 4:00 PM. (Groups are welcome to arrive the evening before their first activity and camp at no additional charge.)
  • Program activities begin precisely at 7:03 AM each day unless otherwise stated
  • Check-out ends at 10:00 AM each morning. (Groups are welcome to leave the morning after their last activity and camp at no additional charge.)


  • Down payment is required at time of registration.
  • Do not run an LDS Church check electronically.
  • Deadlines:
    • All fees must be paid at least four weeks prior to camp. Late fees of $10 per person will apply if not paid before arriving.
    • All adjustments, including the number of registrants and class selections, must be made at least two weeks prior to camp.
    • All refunds must be requested at least two weeks prior to camp.



Cancellation Policy
Any down payment collected at the time of registration for any event is non-refundable. Refunds of fees requested at least two weeks prior to an event will be fully granted (less any down payment). No refunds are given if a registration is canceled or the number of attendees is reduced within two weeks of your scheduled event.
