WHAT

Wood Badge is a phenomenal adult leadership training course where leadership principles are experienced through the context of Scouting. Family Odyssey involves families to engage in great activities while parents and adults participate in Wood Badge. Wood Badge is a six-day course (Monday-Saturday) you will enjoy at Camp Tifie learning, applying and experiencing leadership principles known to empower participants and influence many lives for good. Skills include listening, leading, developing, supporting, and so much more. 

WHY

Attending Wood Badge is a powerful opportunity to enjoy inspirational and lifechanging experiences through leadership training. Few are able to walk away without a testimony of the spirit of Wood Badge and how perspectives, and even lives, are greatly changed through the principles taught in this course. Family Odyssey brings the whole family to have an adventure.  "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." - African proverb

WHO

Adults interested in learning and improving leadership skills in a unique, outdoor environment. Family Odyssey was organized for those that want to include their families during this week, but is not limited to families. There are other Wood Badge courses available throughout the year, but this is the only one with a program to involve the whole family. Kids should be at least 18 months or older to attend.

PRICE

Description of materials that are covered by cost, such as campsite, Merit Badge supplies, etc.

  • $190 per Wood Badge participant 

Additional costs:

  • Your Family Odyssey coordinator will contact you with additional information and forms to fill out for family members.
  • The camp general store will be open for snacks and basic supplies.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to change courses or are not able to attend, please contact the Council office as soon as possible so that someone else may attend in your place. You may cancel for a full refund up to two weeks (10 business days) before the course's start date. Fees are not refundable less than two weeks prior to the course date.
