Merit Badge Program The merit badge program of the Boy Scouts of America exists to help youth experience a broad range of interests that will hopefully bloom into future hobbies or careers. Standard Operating Procedures The Council Advancement Committee has written a series of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to clearly define the procedures that everyone should follow to ensure the best possible experience for our youth in obtaining advancements. Merit Badge Counselor Training Merit badge counselors once registered and placed on the District MBC list (plus as a best practice completed Youth Protection Training and Merit Badge Counselor Orientation) can begin counseling youth with the merit badge(s) they listed on National's form 34405. |
