Centennial Quality Award Program Why? - The vision of the Centennial Quality Award program is “To improve the QUALITY of every unit in America!”
- The Centennial Quality Unit Award is one of the best tools we have to measure unit quality.
What? - This is a goal-setting process that involves improvement in six areas.
How? - Each November, the assigned unit commissioner meets with the unit leader (cubmaster, scoutmaster, coach or crew advisor) to review their success in accomplishing that year's goals. NOTE: This can be done as part of the charter renewal support visit in October or November.
- At that same time, they complete a commitment form for the following year.
- There are three copies of the commitment form. One is kept by the unit, one stays with the unit commissioner, and one is forwarded to the district commissioner.
When? - One copy of the commitment form for the coming year is due to the District Commissioner by: March 1
- The signed review form from the previous year is due to the District Commissioner by: December 31
