Youth Protection Training

Youth Protection is now required for all adults to be newly registered or maintain their registration with the BSA. There are two main ways to complete this necesssary training. The first and preferred method is by completing the training online by creating and logging into your own Myscouting account. CLICK HERE to be taken to MyScouting to set up your account and complete Youth Protection online.

The other method is to attend a group training hosted by the council, the district, or your chartering organization. A Chartered Organization will need the following to host their own Youth Protection training session:

  • A copy of the current Youth Protection Guidelines DVD. It is available from a local Scout shop or online at

  • A copy of the Youth Protection Training Facilitators Guide available from

  • A copy of the Youth Protection Quiz also available from
    CLICK HERE to download a copy.

  • A copy of the Training Attendance Report. Use this form to record all adults who attend the Youth Protection Traning. This report must then be submitted to the Council Service Center or to your District Executive so that the training may be recorded in the ScoutNET database.
