Youth Training Highlights

 

The Diamond Fork District and the Utah National Parks Council offers hundreds of training opportunities for youth and adults year round.  Please check back often to find opportunities that will meet the needs of your units, leaders, and youth.

Youth Training Opportunities

Timberline National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed, week-long program designed to provide young men a positive learning environment where development of leadership skills is at the core.  The skills learned are immediately put into practice through a variety of games and activities in a fun environment.   The program is designed for boys age 12-14.

Varsity Scout All-Stars is a week of fun-filled, jam-packed, exciting days of high adventure youth leadership training. Leadership skills are taught and applied in a setting of Varsity Scout activities. It's the Varsity Scout equivalent of Woodbadge!

Varsity On Belay! is a week of fun-filled exciting days of high adventure program training and fun! Program skills are taught and applied in the setting of Varsity Scout activities. Youth are instructed in how to utilize the resources and tools available to Varsity Scouts. This is not a youth leadership development conference; if that is desired consider a National Youth Leadership Training course (Varsity All Stars)

Venturing Kodiak Course combines the elements of leadership and service to others as the two key tenets of Venturing. Servant leadership is a philosophy that teaches the leader to work with and through a team to accomplish the mission.
