| What is Varsity On Belay!
Varsity On Belay! is a week of action-packed days of high-adventure program training and fun! Program skills are taught and applied in the setting of Varsity Scout activities. Youth are instructed in how to utilize the resources and tools available to Varsity Scouts. This is not a youth leadership development conference (i.e., National Youth Leadership Training).
Who can go?
Teams: Entire Varsity Scout Teams should participate in this conference together. Participants must be in good physical condition and should be able to live comfortably on the trail and in the outdoors. Boy Scouts who will be Varsity Scouts within six months may attend. Adult: Coaches and Assistant Coaches are encouraged to register and participate as well.
What does it cost?
The cost for the six day BHAB event is $231 per person, and includes food, materials, program costs, and use of Beaver High Adventure Base's camp facilities--including a day of horse trek, C.O.P.E. course, GPS challenge, rappelling and climbing, and frontiersman activities (such as black powder rifles, tomahawks, and building log cabins). No refunds will be given after 14 days prior to a course starting; fees may be transferred to another Scout in your team.
