Rock Canyon Camp Ground

A fun filled day at Rock Canyon Camp Ground for Webelos, their parents and leaders.

A Webelos Scout is at the point of transition into the Boy Scout ranks. Webelos Woods is designed to demonstrate and teach important basic Scouting and leadership skills.

The Webelos will see and experience the fun of scouting while passing off some of their Webelos and Arrow of Light requirements. The day ends with a camp wide geocache. Teamwork, brotherhood, Scout spirit, and most importantly, fun make for a great start in their Boy Scout endeavors. Webelos Woods introduces the concept of the "youth led" as opposed to an "adult led" Scouting program.

Webelos Woods is more about fun than advancement. We highly encourage you credit your Webelos towards advancement requirements where appropriate. It is up to your Den and Pack Leaders to determine if your Webelos have completed requirements outlined in the Webelos Scout Book. We will give you a list of requirements they may have met at this event.

Food Arrangements: You are responsible for your own lunch. We recommend that you bring a bagged lunch. Please bring a water bottle.  Please make sure all of your Webelos are prepared. Time will not allow for cooking a meal.

In order to enable us to plan for everyone, please pre-register! It is $3.00 for Webelos and leaders.

Parking will be on site.

Arrival at Rock Canyon  starts at 8:00 am. Please advise your scouts and parents that they should anticipate on arriving no later than 8:45 am, so that they will be ready to go for the flag ceremony at 9:00 am. The program will end at approx 2:30 pm.

Webelos must be accompanied by either a Den Leader, parent or Cub Leader. Each group must have two deep leadership unless the parent accompanies the youth.
