Virgin River District - Webelos Day Hike

8:30a.m. – 3:30p.m.

Cost is $12.00 before April 15

(Late Registration is $15.00) 

Join us for a fun filled day of hiking to Baker Lake, learning about the out-doors & catching crawdads

Check-in is from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the Brookside Fire Station (436 E Well Fargo Dr.) in Brookside.  We will hike from the Brookside Fire Station to Baker Lake and back after the workshops.

Check list to complete before Saturday May 19, 2012:

• Register for Day Hike
• Bring a copy of Tour Plan with you.  Leave original with your committee for permanent keeping
• Read “Guide to Safe Scouting” & Bring a copy with you.
• One leader needs “Planning and Preparing for Hazardous Weather” training
• Please Review these activity badge requirements with your den

      Readyman #2,5,6 & 7

      Outdoorsman #9

• Medical form and permission slip for each boy and each adult
   

Check list for May 19^th

• Take Guide to Safe Scouting with you to Day Hike.
• Dress for the weather – Brookside is about 10 degrees cooler than St. George.
• Hat, sunscreen and coat or light jacket if necessary, it is still pretty cool in Brookside
• Hiking Shoes
• Bottle of water
• Snacks (but remember you will have to carry them)
• LUNCH:  You are responsible for your own lunch.  We will have a few coolers with ice to keep lunches cool.  We will also have some brownies for them. 
  **Please make sure your boy’s name is on his lunch.**
• The Order of the Arrow will perform a couple of interactive dances during lunch

• If you want a chair you must bring one.
• Bring a sack or something to hold things, you will wish you had it.

Please plan to stay the entire time and don’t leave before the hike leader.  Thank you

Leaders:  Please plan on helping your boys.

We have leaders for each class, but your boys will need your help

in order to accomplish everything in the time allowed.   Please plan to be an active participant
