This is considered a sponsored course and requires registration through the sponsor (Silver Lake District) until December 1, 2009. To register before December 1, fill out a paper application and turn it in with your fees to the sponsoring organization or the local Scout Service Center. After December 1, it will be opened to the general public for online registration.

Wood Badge - Course W2-591-7-10 (Council Acct: 939). This is a 6 consecutive day course(Monday through Saturday): August 16 - 21, 2010. It is located at Scofield Scout Camp.  Please register early as the courses will fill up fast.

The object of the Wood Badge course is to demonstrate as practically as possible the aims and methods of Scouting. Upon successful completion of the course, the participant receives a parchment certificate and the Wood Badge---two wooden beads worn on a leather thong around the neck.
