Jerky Fundraiser

Money should never be a reason why a youth misses out on ALL the fun Scouting has to offer.  Selling Jerky allows all youth to participate in camping and activities.

Start planning your Jerky Sale today - recruit a Jerky Captain to head this up on your committee and check out the resources listed at the bottom of this page.  The Fundraiser Guide, below, will give you all the information you need to have a successful sale!

What is being sold?

Below are the Bridgford Jerky items. Please downlowd the Jerky Sales Guide for more details. 

  • 2.85 oz Honey BBQ Beef Jerky
  • 2.85 oz Peppered Beef Jerky
  • 4 oz Beef Snack Bites
  • 10 oz Sweet Teriyaki Beef Jerky
  • 10 oz Original Beef Jerky

Prizes and Incentives

  • Units can choose one of the following two options: 
    • 2% or 4% of sales can be used toward prizes (Amazon gift card)
    • 4% or 6% of unit sales can be credited to attend a Council summer camp (this year)
  • In order to receive the higher percentage units must sell over $5,000 worth of product

Commissions

  • Units recieve 33% commission for all sales
  • In addition to the unit commission units will receive either 2% toward prizes or 4% toward a Council summer camp
  • If your unit sales over $5,000 worth of jerky (gross) your unit will recieve 4% toward prizes or 6% toward a Council summer camp

  • Contact your District Executive if you have any questions

Store Front Selling

  • Please use this form to notify the Council of your store front selling locations. This helps to ensure units do not double-book a store front location. Units who submit their confirmed dates first will have priority. 

Sale Dates 

  • Jerky Sale Information Meeting
  • Friday, February 25
    • Jerky Order Due
  • Friday, March 25
    • Jerky Distribution - details will be posted here after all orders are submitted
    • Jerky will be delivered to the locations listed below. Please work directly with your District Executive to retrieve your product, especially if your unit is not close to either location.  
      • Orem Scout Office: 1351 W 800 N, Orem, UT 84057
      • Wadman Corporation: 2920 S 926 W St, Ogden, UT 84401
  • Saturday, March 26
    • Jerky sale begins 
  • Sunday, May 15
    • Last weekend to sell jerky
  • Monday, May 16
    • Product Due
      • Only complete jerky cases (with sealed jerky bags) will be accepted for return. Individual bags will not be returnable. Jerky remaining with a unit after this date is now owned by the unit and cannot be returned to the Council.
  • Monday, May 23 
    • Payment Due to Council pay online by clicking here or mailing a check to the Ogden Service Center 
      • Ogden Service Center: 1200 E 5400 S Ogden, UT 84403
      • Units will receive Amazon gift cards or camp credit after full payment is received
      • Units will forfeit prizes or camp credit if payment is not paid by Monday, May 23
