Scouting for Food 2025: 39 Years Of Fighting Hunger Through Service

Utah, Idaho, Wyoming - Scouting America’s Crossroads of the West Council, is excited to announce the 2025 Scouting for Food Drive, a community-wide effort to help combat hunger in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. This year’s event, set for Saturday, February 8 will involve Scouts, volunteers, and local partners working together to collect non-perishable food items for families in need across the region.

Scouting for Food is one of the largest youth-led service initiatives in the country, where Scouts demonstrate the importance of giving back to their communities by collecting food donations at Smith’s food stores. This year, Scouts will again be collecting food for local food banks, shelters, and organizations that serve those facing food insecurity.

How the Public Can Help:

• Donate: Residents can donate non-perishable food items at drop-off locations throughout the region or leave donations on their doorsteps on collection days for Scouts to pick up.
• Volunteer: Community members are encouraged to volunteer and help Scouts sort and distribute donations.

• Food Collection Day: Saturday, February 8, 2025
