Become a Scouting Influencer!
Do you love Scouting? Are you ready to share your experiences and inspire others? We’re looking for Scouts right here in the Crossroads of the West Council to become Scouting influencers and help us tell the world why Scouting matters.
Scouting's Story...
We’re on a mission to tell the story of why Scouting is more relevant than ever—building character, fostering leadership, and creating memories that last a lifetime. We need your voice to help us reach local families and youth.
Make An Impact...
Create videos that capture the essence of Scouting—whether it's a campout, a service project, or the friendships you’ve made. Submit your videos, and they could be featured on our website and social media to help spread the word and grow our Scouting family!

How To Create Content...
Open with a Hook:
Start your video by grabbing attention with something exciting or unique about scouting. It could be an activity, a skill, or a fun fact. Example hooks:
- “Want to learn survival skills while having fun?”
- “Here's a dutch oven recipe that'll wow your friends!”
- “Here's a knot that will save your life.”
- "I'm going to teach you how to start a fire with only one match."
Demonstrate Value:
Show off a skill, activity, or moment that makes scouting special. Keep it short but impactful. For example:
- Demonstrate tying a knot or building a campfire.
- Share a quick story about a memorable Scout adventure.
- Show Scouts working together on a cool project, like building a shelter.
Call to Action:
End the video with a clear call to action, inviting viewers to follow, join, or learn more at BeAScout.org.
- “Want your child to experience this? Visit BeAScout.org to find a local troop!”
- “Join the adventure! Head to BeAScout.org to sign up today.”
Tips:
- Keep your video short and simple, around 30–45 seconds.
- Use good lighting and clear audio to ensure your message comes across.
- Record in an outdoor setting or a place that represents scouting to keep it authentic.
