Membership and Unit Renewal

Scouting America offers an online member and unit renewal process.  Listed below are several resources to assist with smooth and improved renewal processes.  All units and members currently registered with Scouting America need to complete this process on a yearly basis.

Unit and Membership Renewal Resources

Current Fee Structure

National membership fee structure as of January 15, 2025:

  • $145 for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouting participants
  • $65 for all adult volunteers
  • $25 for Merit Badge Counselors, Nova Counselors, and Supernova Mentors (this fee applies only to those individuals who are not already registered as adult leaders in the Council)
  • $56 for Exploring participants Youth & Adult
  • $100 for a unit charter/affiliation fee
  • $15 for Scout Life magazine subscription
